Major healthcare client is seeking an Application Architect to maintain and optimize a high-profile legacy application while the new applications are developed for release. The legacy application is comprised of a number of products that have been added to the portfolio through acquisitions and growth over a number of years and are still in use by a number of extremely high-profile clients. At least one of the high-profile clients will continue to use this application for at least somewhere between 15-24 months, so the maintenance and ongoing optimization of this application is of critical importance.

 

Developed primarily within a .Net 1.0 framework (and Oracle backend), and because of the growth of the services it provides through the acquisitions, this application has been put together in almost a “patchwork” manner, while still creating a valuable product to this client. The Architect who put this application together has begun to focus more of his time on the new applications that are in development, however, he will be the initial resource from whom the new resource will learn the inner workings of the application.

 

This Architect’s responsibilities will include a close client interface with the clients, thus, he/she must be able to communicate effectively with the client and some travel will be required to visit the client site. The current Architect has spent much time developing and maintaining a strong working relationship and this individual will need to be able to translate that relationship effectively, while communicating the needs of the client and effective solutions to the development team.

 

Must Haves:

-Architectural experience for enterprise applications in early .Net technologies

-additional experience within Oracle environments a huge bonus

-Client facing experience, specifically working with high-profile clients or executive leadership for high-profile internal applications is a must
